 On our 6-day trip, you will have the chance to learn about the country’s great history. In Athens, you will explore the highlights of Athens and the surrounding areas and enjoy visiting the world-famous ruins, the amazing Parthenon, and the world-famous Acropolis, and enjoy visiting the Roman Temple of Ancient Zeus,    one of the sites that you will explore before visiting some of Athen’s more modern gems, such as the Catholic Cathedral, the Panathinaiko Stadium, and Cape Sounio, home to the remains of  Poseidon’s Temple, then travel to the location of Greece’s famous Oracle at Delphi, and learn about its mythology!

  Details & Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Athens- Greece.<br />

Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be greeted and transfeered to your hotel via a private air-condationed private car, checkin to your hotel for overnight stay at Athens. 

Meals: (No meals).

 

Day 2: Experience Athens, the Capital of Greece.<br />

Take a delightful beakfast at your hotel before heading off to the city, today be prepeared to spend the day exploring the streets of the nation’s capital. Athens is a great combination of the ancient and modern.  You will enjoy the Athen’s glorious  history and stop by renowned sights like the propylea, the parthenon,the temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechthelon which features a porch of maidens! See consititution square (syntagma), the house of parliament, the  momorial to the unknown soldiers, then continue to the impressive historical sight Hadrian’s Arch the Roman Temple of Olympic Zeus and stop at Panathinaiko Stadium, where the first modern olympic Games were held in 1896, then move on to see the city’s  neoclassical structures of the 19th century, the Catholic Cathedral and the National Library. At the end of your tour enjoy visiting the magnificent world fmous Acropolis and it’s Museum which exemplifies Athen’s glorious past history. After this historical day, return to your hotel and spend your night at leisure.

Day 3: Explore Cape Sounio and Poseidon’s Temple.<br />

After your delicious breakfast, it is time to head to the sea, and be ready for your tour of Cape Sounio! you will stop on the way by some of the area’s most beautiful beaches including: Vouliagmeni, Glyfada, and Varkiza beaches. Enjoy  the beautiful view  around you, as you drive towards the Saronic Gulf, upon arrive, enjoy your tour to the awe-inspiring Poseidon Temple, located  above the Aegean Sea, a famous setting even in Homer’s Odyssey, this place rings of ancient history just waiting you to explore it. After this amazing day, head back to Athens for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day in Delphi<br />

 Wake up to a delicious breakfast before heading out to your full day tour to Delphi, which is located  at the foot of the mountain Parnassos, the oracle at Delphi was considered by ancient Greeks to be the center of the world . Delphi also represented many things for the  Greeks, such as religion, culture and unity , and was the spot of the famous Pythian Games, which were held here every year.  The oracle at Delphi reached its peak and was known worldwide, between the 6th and 4th centuries BC, as it offered advice to cities, rulers, and common people  and accepted their gifts in return. Then enjoy a visit the excellent museum, which features a bronze statue of the Charioteer. After your historical visit to Delphi, return to Athens for the evening and overnight.

Day 5: Visit the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus.

Enjoy  your breakfast  before  start  your full-day tour to the region of Argolis. Enjoy the  view  on the drive along the coast on the way to  Mycenae, your first stop.  Mycenae was considered to be “rich in gold” and the most important center in Greece during the Late Bronze Age. You will then move on to visit the sights of Argos and Naulia, the first capital of Greece in 1829. After your lunch, drive  towards Epidaurus, and explore the ancient theater of the city, its covered in limestone staircases, but its  structure has been well-preserved. Renowned for its fantastic acoustics, it is possible to hear normal people speech from anywhere in the theater, after this amazing visit,  head back to Athens for your last night in Greece. Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 6: Goodbye Greece.<br />

 Enjoy your one last breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, you have free leisure time until you are transported to the airport at the appropriate time. Catch your flight at Athens International Airport and wave goodbye to Greece.
